Do I Have Class
Filed under: Queen for a Day

26% grit, 38% wit, 33% flair, and 100% class!

Do I have class? I recently got a comment that said “a person who really had any class would not put it up on their web site.”

I guess he was referring to the “about me” section in the sidebar. What is funny is, that line was the result of one of those online tests that get passed around. I thought it was fun and added it to my site.

This person had never left a comment before so I kinda wondered what bug got up their butt? Maybe it was my post on Texas politics, where they tried to leave the comment. But since they had a “.de” Germany domain, it seemed kinda strange.

So, I got to looking at the person’s info and decided to do a Google search on them. It would seem that Mr. Thorne is a scammer. And there is lots of info on him where he tried to scam people out of money with those fake emails.

Oh yeah Mr Thorne - you got class. NOT!!

The long and the short of it is this - The Cashmere Kitty is MY blog. I can say what I want here. If you don’t like it, move on.

Do I have class? lol, I don’t know, but I’m trying.

Thirteen Whys

Why, Why, Why?

1. Do we press harder on a remote control when we know the batteries are getting dead?

2. Why do banks charge a fee on “insufficient funds” when they know there is not enough money?

3. Why does someone believe you when you say there are four billion stars, but check when you say the paint is wet?

4. Why doesn’t glue stick to the bottle?

5. Why do they use sterilized needles for death by lethal injection?

6. Why doesn’t Tarzan have a beard?

7. Why does Superman stop bullets with his chest, but ducks when you throw a revolver at him?

8. In winter why do we try to keep the house as warm as it was in summer when we complained about the heat?

9. Whose idea was it to put an “S” in the word “Lisp”?

10. If people evolved from apes, why are there still apes?

11. Why is it that no matter what color bubble bath you use the bubbles are always white?

12. Is there ever a day that mattresses are not on sale?

13. Why do people constantly return to the refrigerator with hopes that something new to eat will have materialized?

Thirteen Favorite Movies

Thursday 13 Movies

I thought it might be fun to list some of my favorite movies. They may not be the greatest movies ever made, but they are movies that I love and will watch over and over again.

1. The Quiet Man - my favorite John Wayne movie. It is a love story set in Ireland. I love it because it speaks to what is important to the woman and how her husband comes to respect that.

2. Reds - another great love story set in the times of the Russian revolution. This is a true story of 2 writers dealing with not only their relationship but their hope for a society where all are equal.

3. Titanic - It is a love story yes, but what I really enjoy about this movie is seeing the ship herself.

4. Pirates of the Caribbean - OMG, is Johnny Depp hot or what? But aside from all of that, it’s a great pirate movie! arrr!

5. Madame X - this has to be one of the all time best tear jerkers ever. Be prepared with lots of tissue. (and be sure to watch the original with Lana Turner and John Forsythe, the remake stinks!)

6. Casablanca - Ingrid Bergman is just so beautiful in this movie. And Humphrey Bogart, who could resist him as Rick? A great cast, a great story. Here’s looking at you kid…

7. Field of Dreams - This movie speaks to my heart and I always think of my Dad when I watch it. If only we could all build our own field of dreams.

8. Dances With Wolves - I love this movie on so many levels. For me it brings the plight of the Indians down to a personal level that anyone could relate to. It’s one of those movies you wish would never end. Love it!

9. Blazing Saddles - lol, excuse me while I whip this out. This movie is just so funny from start to finish. A classic for sure and one that never gets old!

10. Singin’ in the Rain - The singing, the dancing - it’s great! I love old musicals and this one is probably my all time favorite. What a glorious feeling, I’m happy again…

11. Citizen Kane - The story of a man who gains material wealth but was happiest when he had nothing. Rosebud…

12. Pollyanna - It’s a girly movie but I think boys would like it too. The adventures of a girl and her cat wound through a story of hope and optimism. (again, you want the original version with Haley Mills)

13. The Wizard of Oz - I love Judy Garland. I have watched this movie over and over since I was a child and never tired of it. The music is wonderful and the story line is classic… there’s no place like home.
